Volunteer Information              

Sustainable Honeybee Program, Inc. depends on volunteers to help us with all the various work, beekeeping and otherwise, that is involved in our operations. Unlike traditional queen sources we do not have pollination or honey sales income to support our goals.

 

We have opportunities in helping directly with the bees which requires some beekeeping experience, as well as general maintenance, building equipment as well as equipment repair and restoration.

From Purcellville: From Hwy Rt. 7 Turn north on the Berlin Turnpike (Route 287) for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn left on Baker Mill Rd (on downhill curve).

**Drive up hill and turn in just at the top of the hill to the south side of the barnyard-(it's the second red barn with large white door up on top of hill--to right side of the silo). Do not drive on the first driveway.

 

From Intersection of Route 9 and Route 287: turn south on the Berlin Turnpike (Route 287) for approximate 2.5 miles. Turn right on Baker Mill Rd.

**Follow the rest as described above.

 

From Leesburg The Purcellville exit, Rt. 287,  is about 10 miles west of Leesburg on Rt. 7. Turn right at light at bottom of exit ramp to go North.  Go approximately 1.5m.

Turn left on Baker Mill Road.
